Support

Clear help for children, parents and schools.

Support is shaped around the child’s age, communication needs and everyday setting. I work mainly with preschool and primary-aged children, where early support and close parent involvement are especially important.

Common reasons parents get in touch

When communication is getting in the way.

Parents often contact me because their child’s speech is unclear, their language seems delayed, they find it hard to understand spoken instructions, or communication is affecting learning, friendships or confidence. I also support children with early communication needs, social communication differences, and difficulties where language, literacy and learning are closely connected.

Speech sounds

When a child’s speech is unclear or difficult for others to understand.

Language

Understanding, organising and using words and sentences.

Early communication

Practical guidance for younger children and family routines.

Learning and literacy

Support informed by extensive experience with dyslexia and language-based learning needs.

Social communication

Thoughtful support for interaction, understanding and participation.

School liaison

Clear advice for parents, nurseries, schools and other professionals where helpful.

Early support

Parents are central to progress.

Because progress is strongest when parents are actively involved, I consider how advice and therapy can be supported at home as part of deciding whether I am the right person to help.
